The little black dress, or LBD for short, should be a staple in every classic style wardrobe. It is in and of itself a sign of simple and effortless class and elegance. It is versatile, appropriate for most occasions, and never goes out of style.
It was the talented Coco Chanel that introduced the LBD to the world of fashion in the 1920’s as a style that was for those that were so well off they couldn’t be bothered to care about fashion. However, it wasn’t until 1961 when Audrey Hepburn starred in (my favorite film) Breakfast at Tiffany’s and wore a Givenchy sheath dress that the item became a closet staple for the elegant woman and a permanent fashion fixture.

Why the Little Black Dress?
Because of its cut and color, a LBD looks good on everyone. No matter your size, shape, or height, a LBD almost always guarantees you to feel your most confident.
Picking Your Perfect LBD Is Easy!
The secret to picking your perfect LBD is to keep in mind just a few rules.
A classic LBD sits at (right above or right below) knee length. If you have the kind of legs you show off (and who could blame you,) just keep in mind that you only show skin in one place at a time. For example, if you are going short in length, then you go for a high neckline. If you choose a plunging neckline in either the front or back then the length of the dress should be around the knees.
