I read a blog post recently (I wish I could find it again so I could reference it) where it talked about how people should take a few hours to themselves when they go on family vacations.
So I took off on a walk right by myself down Duval Street when we were in Key West. At first I was not really enjoying the experience, but just as I was about to turn around something caught my eye down one of the side streets. That turn down a side road opened up a whole new world!
I found myself on beautiful tree lined streets. I saw used book stores. I found myself at the harbor where the decks of fishing boats were being scrubbed after unloading the mornings catch.
My favorite thing I stumbled upon? A little coffee shop next door to Hemingway’s Distillery: Koffie House.

It is probably one of the cutest coffee shops I have ever been in! The staff I interacted with was super friendly and informative. The decor? Chef’s Kiss perfection!

It was a bolder, quirkier version of Central Perk. I texted my BFF and told her that if this shop was in Nashville, this would be where we would have our chats. She agreed!

I had a plain, iced coffee (which I usually don’t drink iced coffee, but I had been walking for awhile and wanted something refreshing) and sat there on this blue couch taking in the sounds from the street and the fun, yet completely calm, atmosphere.
If you are visiting Key West anytime soon, stop by and enjoy this most adorable and totally IG worthy coffee shop! If you want to check them out on IG, head over to @thekoffiehouse. XOXO – Scarlett
